One of the several benefits of having a website or a blog, is that you can make money by displaying ads that (usually) are relative to your blog’s topic/content. There are a lot of sites that pay you either per click, or per impression…. but the most famous of all is Google Adsense.
For the last couple of years, Google Adsense has dominated forums, discussions and newsletters all over the Internet. Already, there are tales of fabulous riches to be made and millions made by those who are just working from home. It seems that Google Adsense have already dominated the internet marketing business and is now considered the easiest way to making money online.
Google lets you place contextual ads (ads that are relative to your site’s topics) on your blog/website, after them approving your site/blog. They pay you per click, whenever someone clicks on the ads on your site. However, Google has a very strict policy and no cheating-tolerance. That means, you shouldn’t even think about clicking on your own ads, or asking your friends to do so. Doing that might get your account terminated forever … and yes google are much more clever than you think, and will know what is happening and whether you are cheating or not. Also, don’t forget to read their terms very carefully. You can open an account with google adsense from here.
Other sites that offer the same service, include:
Sta-ads: This network has some ads that pay per impression (which is a very strong feature, as the ads need not to be clicked, in order for you to get paid…just per impression). They also pay per click and conversion also… (If you have adsense or are planning to open an adsense account, you can use non-contexual ads from sta-ads so that you don’t violate google adsense’s terms, that forbids having adsense on the same page as other networks’ contexual ads). You can join Sta-ads (as a publisher) from here.
* Note: Sta-ads has recently ceased operations. Until we get further info from them, I don’t recommend joining them now.
Adbrite: Another very good ad network that pays per clicks and also has other features. Adbrite gives more flexibility to the advertiser, and let him/her choose ad space from different sites. It also offers more freedom to the publisher (you, in this case) to choose which ad one want to display in his/her site. The publisher can also fix the price of their adspace.
Exoclick: A new network that works the same way, but requires you to have certain number of hits in order to get approved as a publisher. Still testing them, and hope they perform good.
Money4Blogs: Get paid instantly via either paypal or xoom, for displaying one text ad on your blog. They pay for a year’s exposure of the ad, as soon as it is published live on your blog. Their offers vary depending on your blog’s page rank, traffic and age. A one time opportunity only, so better make use of it.
Text-Link-Ads: Get paid for displaying text ads on your blog.
Backlinks: Same as Text-link-ads, but also has extra features like link exchange and buying links.
Sign-Profit: Sign Profit is a program that can give you advertising revenue from each page on your website, blog or post on forums (e-commerce related websites)- with a minimal investment of time and no additional resources. Pay per impressions, referrals…etc.. Instant withdrawal.
